O sentido de comunidade não se cria: é algo natural que se desenvolve, paulatinamente, com o passar do tempo, partilhando vivências, experiências, reforçando laços, aprofundando amizades, desfrutando momentos e construindo uma história. Ao longo dos últimos 50 anos, Vale do Lobo tem cultivado uma singular comunidade multinacional de residentes e visitantes, tornando-se, para muitos deles, a sua segunda casa.

Este é o local onde visitantes oriundos dos mais diversos países do mundo se reúnem para criar o seu próprio ambiente especial, característico de Vale do Lobo, onde não importa a origem, a cultura ou a nacionalidade para que se sinta sempre e genuina-mente bem-vindo, não só pela equipa do resort como também por todos os seus residentes.

Eventos sociais como os cocktails mensais da Associação de Proprie-tários e outras iniciativas organizadas pelo Clube de Golfe proporcionam a oportunidade mais que perfeita para receber e integrar novos proprietários neste ecléctico grupo de algumas dezenas de nacionalidades.

A community cannot be created, instead it has to develop naturally and over the past 50 years Vale do Lobo has nurtured a unique international community.

Here visitors and property own-ers from countries all over the world come together to create their own special environment, specific to Vale do Lobo, where it doesn’t matter where you come from, you will always be genu-inely welcomed by not only the team at the resort, but also by the other residents here.

Events such as the property owners’ monthly cocktails, or those organised by the Golf Club, are the perfect platforms for resi-dents to introduce themselves and to meet with some of the dozens of different nationalities. Others have tried to repli-cate the very distinctive feeling that Vale do Lobo evokes but this has been built up over decades and future generations of fami-lies will continue this tradition of family values, warmth and hospitality treasured by Vale do Lobo.

Dawn and Franco Vazzana, property owners in Vale do Lobo since 1994, are able to testify to this unique community spirit.

“We must have been some of the luckiest people in the world when we discovered Vale do Lobo. Por-tugal is not the home of our births, which is the case for many here, but we have made friends from all over the world. It is a very multicultural existence here and we all love and enjoy it.

We still see our investment here as a wonderful decision and our pleasure increases daily. We also have the best weather in all four sea-sons compared to the rest of Europe and other countries that members come from. Without doubt, this has been a major reason for our 15 year stay in Vale do Lobo. Finally, as el-derly people, we feel totally safe and secure in our homes, day and night and in all areas of the resort.”

Brian Griffin, a property owner in Vale do Lobo since 1969, remembers a time when there were no phones, televi-sions or newspapers but be-lieves that “the advantages and benefits that I saw in Vale do Lobo in 1969 still remain today.
